Bob was born at 31 Abbey Road.Oxford in his Grandparents house in 1962.He was the middle of three sons.Bob was educated at Millbrook School ,Grove in Oxfordshire ,and then at Segsbury School Wantage.Bob joined the Army as a boy soldier at almost 17 years of age. His older brother Jim was in the R.A.F. at the same time.Bob was medically discharged (after just over four years service) with Epilepsy after receiving a head injury whilst on a joint services excercise in Germany.Jim was on the same exercise serving with the R.A.F.
